I was just talking to one of my docs today and he said his Applied rep started telling him about some new energy device coming out at the end of this year or beginning of next. We were laughing so hard because Covidien and JnJ own that piece of the market and now Applied thinks that they're going to be able to play? Apparently he couldn't divulge everything but he said "it's a game changer." Unfortunately for you guys Applied isn't really an innovator nor are you viewed that way in the hospitals. You are a me too company that likes to drop your price for a trocar or retrieval bag in hopes of getting the business. Throw reprocessing into the mix and you're no different than Ascent. Keep making friends with the Purchasing manager in each hospital and you guys will be doing just fine. Leave the real selling to the rest of us because noone can take your joke of a company seriously as one that is innovative!

Why would anyone work for applied medical if you can work anywhere else? It is the worst. Oh did I warn you when you leave they will sue you for no reason except spite. so get out as quick as you can.

I wish the FDA would climb into their adverse events. They make cheap products that break intraoperattively that should be taken off the market.

What did they sue you for?

What could they sue you for?!? I think that sounds like BS, we didn't sign a non compete and people leave literally everyday. I don't know one person who got sued for leaving. Nor have I had a product ever break with the exception of me throwing it after I got a commision check.

You're so full of shit jackass. Adverse events? Cheap products? Breaking? Get your fucking facts straight you piece of shit. How do you make a cheap product here in the US? Aren't all the "cheap" ones made in the countries that JJ and Cov build theirs in?

    You're a tool.

The nurse manager of the OR at Hackensack gets paid by Covidien under the table.

Whoever posted this is despicable. I don't care if it's true or not, you can't throw a serious charge out publicly about someone who is unable to address the charge. It's like calling someone a pedophile or wife beater - the charge itself is damaging regardless of what the actual truth is.

If this was posted by an Applied person, shame on you, and grow up. My guess is it was posted by a competitor who will print it and bring it to the person it was said about to put Applied in a bad light.

This person is correct, when Zymogenetics was starting, several people were sued as they left, or had previously left, and them joined Zymo - should be able to Google this.

Applied spends more money in court than on their reps.

Hey, Im having trouble finding another job since I quit Applied..Do you think they will hire me back....the reason no one will hire me is because I worked for Applied in the past....I'm thinking about applying for a Management position. It seems to be a piece of cake...

You are obviously new to medical device sales. The Alexis Wound Retractor is a game changer! I would rank it ahead of innovations like off pump bypass and the Robot

I would say that making friends with the Purchasing Manager is probably a pretty good strategy in this Healthcare environment. What exactly is the "real selling" the rest of you are doing? Trying to get a doctor to use your lap stuff? Applied seems to be growing quite well so it may actually be a valid strategy to be a low-cost provider and hit purchasing as a main call-point. Can't take yourself too seriously there pal, selling is selling.

A scheme by a Lebonese engineer to use "minority business owner loans" at a much lower interest rate than any American could get to start a business. He then buys land and rents it to his own company so his family will forever be Orange County land barons. Company is a third rate joke, but useful in promoting leftwingers to high positions.

Think about this for a minute. A foreigner comes over to your country, can get business loans to start a business in your country at a much lower interest rate than you, the native. Then proceeds to donate to people and causes that adversely effect, you the native. The system is completely rigged against you and you will soon become a slave in the country that was yours, yet was conquered without a shot being fired. But hey, you got a 10 hour work week and $100k a year. Great trade off......
