Base salaries

    I looked them up on Glassdoor, why are they so low? I IV on Monday and I'm really worried about getting a fair offer I'm over 100k and most listed on glass door is about 77k....

    You don't have to accept the offer if it's not what you think is fair.

    Never sell yourself short, you are supposed to negotiate in sales so why wouldn't you for your worth and experience you bring to the table.

    Hey, you can get 100-110 if your current base salary is in that range, and they think you're worth it. Salaries are lower amount tenured reps at Shire because they use to only hire B to B reps. Their starting salaries were anywhere from 45-65 then. They've changed their hiring model and only hire people with previous experience in pharma so the salaries they are offering are higher. I never hired anyone in above 105 though, just FYI. That was my highest and she was amazing. Everyone agreed she was worth it.

    Thank you for the information, you sound like a terrific manager! I would love to work with someone who realizes the value tenured reps bring to their team.

    This is bad news for Baxalta reps. They start at 110-130k. Totally different job though.

    Ya this is what I'm worried about...105-110 would be a decent pay cut

    That range is the neuroscience division. I'm sure they would be comparable to industry standards in the OBU. That's what would be reasonable. All you can do is ask, and let them know your expectations.

    I heard in ATL that regardless of experience (and there are some people with quite a bit) they aren't hiring anyone in at a senior sales level? Is this true, if so why? I think that's crazy. If I've got years of experience I am not on the same level as the Joes they had there without. Can anyone confirm this?

    I got 122.5k to start but thats because I was a B&L performer. Plus my mentor Kathy told me that she would fast track me to a management role since I held 2 point positions and have well over one and a half years of experience. She says I could be a ZD by the time Hilary gets elected president. Yay, GIRL POWER.

    Whatevs nothing!!!!! You know dam well that there are more just like me coming in or are already here. Our girl Kathy doesn't give a shit about labor laws, compliance, discrimination or even the Easter bunny. She does "whatevs" the fuck she wants to because she's P-R-O-T-E-C-T-E-D in this big pharma cover up.

    Agree!! There are a few trolls that CONSTANTLY post and we are hoping CP bans them ASAP! I would say 90% of the Shire force is hard working, respectful, and high quality people. Like every company, we have a few that should not be on our payroll.

    She even makes comments to people about these posts. I believe it literally consumes her that she can't understand why people don't like her. I mean really??? Come on now honey, listen to the feedback already will ya???

    She either needs to change her ways, (if she is even capable) change her job or be more like her sociopathic mentor Perry and just don't come on here or care what people think. That guy actually acknowledged himself and his promotion as he just announced over 500 people being let go and the closing of the Chesterbrook campus. If that isn't sociopathic behavior, I'm not sure what is?

    They won't allow you to negotiate the offers. They also said that they aren't hiring anyone in at Senior level, however that is not true because numerous people have been offered this status. However they are telling others nobody is getting it.
