What's the biggest nightmare case you've been in? Post your horror stories here. Implants weren't there? Femur snapped in half during hip revision? Surgeon went into cardiac arrest during case? We've all heard and been in some serious stressful situations. One of my buddies just told me a crazy story that happened to him just the other day. Worst case of his career. We've all had bad days, but in the end, the worse the case goes, the more boxes we open to fix things. And the more we bill!! But of course it could mean that's the last case you have with the doc. Sometimes that's a good thing. I'll post some of mine on here too but I'd love to hear some stories. There's gotta be some crazy shit out there.
The Stryker rep and Doctor almost fought in the OR as the surgeon was still scrubbed in. Shoving match happened until it was broke up. Rep contaminated the back table, went down hill from there.
um, ok? Your point? What was the fight even over? I doubt a doctor lost his cool like that and you're just trying to start something......
A rep began lifting inflatable dumbells in case due to being a bored box opener. He proceeded to walk to Starbucks with his scrubs following surgery to show off his pumped arms. His distributor saw him at Starbucks and cut his commission because he had to make his payment on his vacation aspen house. Rep goes back to account and lifts doc over his head for a set of 8. Following some rants on cafepharma he acrobatically jumps down hallway upon spotting his newly minted and distributor paid for subrep. he tells him he needs to get more business or he will no longer need his services. Doc still upset he was lifted in hospital but nurses all wanted to take rep into a closet because they love the 1980s look and mentality of Stryker rep. Just another Monday and Tuesday. Rest of week he is lifting and watching any given Sunday with his pals.
Doc, surrounded by older white ladies, dropped the N bomb on the black scrub tech when she left the room to get the third instrument she had forgotten right before the case started. This happened last week. The other nurses seemed to agree. Nuts!
