Is he a good leader?

 

Horrible leader! Egomaniac and narcissistic. Very narrow view of the global business. Feels emerging markets from his native india will save the company. He forgets that as an economy, they can't pay for our medications. He dismisses the U.S. as spoiled whiners. He forgets who has made the company profits for the last three decades and forgets that we account for almost 40% of global sales. He would be a catastrophic choice. He would line his pockets and ultimately leave GSK with nothing. Mark my words if he is selected. GSK needs an American to right the ship!

 

Wow, I sure hope the BOD goes outside the collection of internal syncophants and chooses an outsider, specifically an American with a track record as a pharma executive.

 

I've heard for thirty years that America is sinking in terms of supporting the worldwide pharmaceutical industry. I agree that America subsidizes the innovation of pharma and other countries should step up. However, I think it is a joke to say that India and other third-world economies will generate major sales in innovative pharmaceuticals and replace the contribution of America. Perhaps in 200 years but keep in mind the majority of Indians (90%) still defecate in the open (i.e. no toilets, no toilet paper, and beware the left hand!). Perhaps Modi will bring India closer to first-world status. India has incredibly talented chemists but most of this talent is used for generic companies and sadly not innovative companies.

Just out of curiosity, did GSK appoint you to respond to posts or was this a position in which you applied? So rather than spending your time on the Zika virus, you are responding to posts or asking that they be removed because you are tasked by senior management to respond to anything that puts them in a bad light? Well it's simple, tell them to start using better business and scientific judgment and maybe there will be nothing to joke about.
