Being asked to testify before congress either makes you so sick you have to be hospitalized or you have to take the worlds biggest happy pill.

He He He, Whoop Whoop, I'm taking the 5th, losers, who cares about those sick people I am going into the Rap Hall of Fame.

Vs. J. Michael Pearson - pleads the bed pan. I hope J. Michael Pearson gets better soon and has more compassion for sick people now that he has learned what it is like to be really really sick.

I think he was legitimately sick and parlayed it into a plan to get out of site.

The alternative is that he was never sick. If that's the case, the company has made very public, very official statements about the state of the leadership. False statements about this would be very, very criminal. As in, someone's going to jail criminal.

He may very well have been sick- the seriousness is still debatable. You have to admit it came at a very auspicious time.

Lying about an executive's illness is the least of Valeants worries given its recent criminal activities.

How would the company know? Medical records are confidential between he and his doctor. He could tell the company anything he wants and they have zero means to prove otherwise.

Agreed. There is no way no one in management knew what was going on. Regarding his pneumonia, if he was subponoed to appear, and did not due to his pneumonia, he would indeed, be required to provide medical notes from a provider. Which I do not doubt, would be a fake note anyway. Valeant is at a dead end in my opinion. They will go down as one of the most fraudulent pharmaceutical companies in history. I don't feel bad for anyone at this company whatsoever. I believe everyone was involved in their unscrupulous business practices.

How is he doing? How come they just don't replace him with a new CEO?

The company isn't concerned and may very well be in collusion with him. It's the shareholders. if there's a shareholder lawsuit, and I'd bet my bonus there will be, then there's that useful tool called discovery. HIPAA doesn't protect against that in all cases. There may be safeguards around the records, but the plaintiffs will see them.

Am pretty sure your bet of a bonus is worthless. The company is burning furniture at this point to pay down debt
