Novartis is hands down by far the worst company I've ever been a part of.
I thought all this chatter was a bunch of BS by disgruntled employees. It's not.
Never knew such a large company with vast resources could be in utter disarray.
Chaos, plain and simple. Wish I had stayed where I was but I got sold a bunch of lies to make a change form a really good situation.

If you're considering Novartis or any of its companies be very careful, ask a lot of tough questions and listen very carefully. Call others in similar positions. Call anyone at Alcon.

If by screwing the US market you mean that value is produced at non-marginal expense on the backs of US taxpayers, then I can't agree more.

Think of it as market subsidy or subtle form of corporate welfare.

In the casino capitalism economy, value is siphoned off in form of dividend payments to the shareholders and hefty payouts to the inner circle - Board, senior execs, and 3rd parties who deliver "advice".

But don't let that get you down !

The true value in Big Pharma are the medicines that the patients can access in order to extend and increase quality of life.

Now what price tag do you put on a product that can save life or reduce suffering ?

What the market is willing or capable to pay.

Last time I checked, Medicare is a big chunk of value subsidization to Big Pharma.

Certainly, a market player doesn't want to be played, so I'm curious when CONgress will allow Medicare to "check and balance" Big Pharma on pricing like our European peers do. Oh, the irony...Ha Ha !

Every single day NVS has owned Alcon it's gotten worse.
REALLY, each day a little worse than the last. This is INSANE.

Why doesn't Alcon grab some sack and do what Texas doesn't have the balls to do: SECEDE!!!!

    Ruined by Novartis.
Majority of open positions going to Novartis employees (as expected). Not one of them understanding ophthalmology pharmaceutical or surgical business. Can't speak to a surgeon about anything we sell because there is no knowledge or history in our business w NVS.

We have no customer lists, no sales numbers, no goals, just flying blind for the 4th year in a row. It's become a joke and the sales force couldn't be less engaged or motivated.

The expectation has actually become failure from Novartis to be able to live up to anything promised. A total joke at every level.

Also all my retirement is going down the drain.
    Thanks for nothing Novartis...literally.

Everyday another supply chain/inventory back order.
What a great customer experience you've provided since the acquisition.
Please sell us back to Nestle or anyone else.

    Dear Novartis;

Have you figured out you know absolutely noting about surgical/device yet? Its only been like 5+ years since you wrecked our business. So has it been enough time to admit you have no clue about this business? Throw in the towel for Christ sake.

    Not very sincerely;
    Every person in surgical.

Stay away... Stay away... This is not a good time to join. The company is going through reconstruction. Lay offs are on the way. Current employees are uncertain if they would have a job tomorrow.

Check the performance of the higher ups Novartis put in place at Alcon.
Mr. J. George- maybe two years and a total disaster. Shortest worst tenure in history.
That pharma GM with the initials GM - demoted & disaster. Had & has no clue.
VP & RDs in Eye Care hired with no knowledge of pharma or ophthalmology. Train wrecks. The conversations with customers are embarrassing. Reps won't take them to top accounts.
This could go on and on.
All these people have been a joke. Customers have no interest in speaking w any of them.

If Novartis wants real performance change then make real changes with qualified people coming form an opthalmic background and experience with top industry minds.
    Mr. Ball is a start.

Whoever wrote the above nailed it. Exhibit 15A...

Victor, who currently serves as Head, Neuroscience Franchise Region Europe, has been with Novartis since 2002 and has held jobs of increasing responsibility. He is well-regarded across the organization as a strong leader who delivers results and develops his team, making him a great choice to lead the integration of Alcon Pharma to US GenMeds. Alisha has already begun to onboard Victor to make sure that he can seamlessly pick up the great work she started with you.

Alisha, nice job Alcon. Novartis yet another 2 terrible appointments in record time. Never thought you'd beat that J. George timeframe but you did. Joe is on fire.

Please sell. Accept accountablility and concede that Novartis/Joe have no idea how these business units operate or what is needed for them to run efficiently or how to run them at all. The longer NVS is involved the longer it will take to pull up from the nose dive assuming it's still possible. This space is not your area of expertise, capital equipment can't be treated like pharma. A 500-700K CatRef Suite sale, execution, install, training, follow up is nothing like Rxing a pill. Let the pride go and pull the ripcord. Give us a chance to save our company and our business. All the NVS red tape and ridiculous new processes are making it impossible to do anything.

Here's a good question for everyone on the Novartis board.
What is cataract refractive surgery and what type of equipment would be used? Or what is a scleral buckle and how is it performed, what type of surgeon? What are the latest techniques in LASIK? Like asking Forest Gump to explain quantum physics. Absolute ametuers.
