What is really sad is all those people up on the top, whether they really earned it or not, are set for life. What about the people at retirement age who are thinking of jumping ship with no severance in order to save their benefits? There is no guarantee for them. It's been 9 months since they announced the split. If this was an ethical company, who was going to do the right thing, they would NOW be working on those retiree packages. They need to do right by those people who have put in 20, 25 and even more years. But then I said "Ethical" company. This is NOT an ethical company. They are going to screw the people who brought home the bacon day after day.

If females are leaving, it's because they are sick of dealing with sexist piggies such as yourself.

If she was, it was by the same force we all face, and that is loss of benefits if we don't protect ourselves before the move. I give her credit for protecting herself.

She was such a fixture in this company. There is no other conclusion than that of retiring before split to hang on to her lifetime benefits. Abbott has had 10 months to disclose to us the benefits situation going over to Abbvie and they have not. Only those as high up as Mary Szela are privy to this info, and her leaving so abruptly means two things. The split is very soon and they are going to screw us on the lifetime benefits we have earned,.

The Transition Team has completed the benefits framework. News will be common knowledge in a short time.

Are you in house? Is this reliable info? Any enticements to get people to retire?

Mary 'retires' on May 31st, SEC documents filed June 5th along with the announced corporate leadership for AbbVie. Mary's name wasn't on the corporate leadership list, maybe a hint as to why she retired?

Does anyone realize how evil Mary was and how many people she destroyed? It was about time Miles got rid of her. How much value did she add outside of being a narcissistic self serving.......person? None - she failed consistently and was forgiven.

Good riddance and thank goodnes someone recognized her lack of value.

    Took long enough.....

Nope she wasn't fired, she was with plenty of money that could last her the rest of her life so she retired to make up for the time she didn't spend with her kids. She sure was a tough cookie!
