so what actually happens when you quit this awful place? Do they let you continue to work for two weeks? Do they take my car immediately? Will they pay me my earned bonuses? Trying to time out when I give my notice

They will pay you for two weeks but take your computer, car and check you out within 24 hours of you giving notice. AZ doesn't trust is current employees so imagine how they feel about the disloyal and unappreciative fuckers who quit.

You end your employment the day of you quitting. I've never been happier. This place was a hell.

They will pay you for your 2 weeks notice, but you won't make any calls. They will pay whatever bonus you qualify for. They will not cheat you out of a dime. It could take weeks to get your car. It will be painless to quit.

My question is why would you quit AZ? I average 3 hours per day this week, and lied about 75% of my calls. AZ is great! We are all slackers here, and everyone knows it. Enjoy it!

Wait until the end of the bonus period. If you quit in the middle they will not pay you a partial bonus. But why quit. Just go on interviews, secure another job if you can and wait until they catch you not working which in many cases takes months. You might as well take the pay.
If they fire you they will never reveal that in a reference check by a potential employer. You are off free and clear and a lot richer.

I already locked down a new job with a huge pay raise. Kind of sad for big pharma how little AZ pays. Thinking of working both jobs for a bit and double dipping :)

Retired DM offering my two cents worth of advice. Hopefully you are in a new field far from this toxic environment. Congrats on getting out. Don't double dip. I know you have a good chance to get away with it and pocket some serious coin. It's not worth it! You could get caught and lose the new job you worked hard to get. It's always best to leave with class. You never want to burn bridges when leaving a job no matter how bad the job was. Start your new life and end the old with a clean slate. Best of luck to you!

On the other hand, you have a chance to stick it to AZ and draw a paycheck every two weeks for doing nothing. And you have an extra car and free gas.

What would you do about field rides? Our moron of a manager is with us every 3-4 weeks.

Hell yeah dude! It's easy to beat AZ on the payroll, and you know they're not going to be as tough as the management at AZ, so GO FOR IT!

Cool you must be a cool MF. How much more coin did you bank, bra?

Are you leaving AZ because your manager is a fucking looser? I left a few years ago because of a Manager that was so lame, after a full day of work... Great calls, by the way... The only thing he could say was "don't leave product coupons out during a lunch because the providers will know what you are going to talk about".. Anyway... Go to HR... And complain that you can no longer work with unprofessional assholes.... They'll give u a severance package to get rid of you.

Listen to the DM's advice - this is the best way to end your time at AZ.

I gave notice on a Monday and was starting training at new job the following Monday - great opportunity with quick turnaround on my decision. I was upfront about that when I gave notice because I had a good manager that I respected and could not juggle being signed out the following week while I was away. AZ accepted my one week notice. I had email access, computer and everything else up to the last day. I've heard from some that they were off email and out of territory the same day they gave notice. It depends on where you are going if you disclose that I guess. I was not going to a competitor. My car was picked up on my last day at around 4 - it just worked out that way with the transport company. Good luck to you.

If you were/are someone that's been with AZ for a while, why not wait until you have chance-if offered-to just get a severance? That way,you double dip ,and you do it the right way, leaving nothing to chance.

I have only been here two years. And I have a job offer now. Don't want to pass it up and risk it

First of all, if AZ is so "awful" then why are you worried about the "logistics of quitting". Just quit already. Secondly, if your new job offer is go great, why is there any doubt as to if and when you'll quit "awful" AZ? People like you are the worst kind of tripe. You'll never be happy. There's always someone to blame. Good riddance and don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you.

Surely you are a kind person, calling your neighbor "tripe" and then calling on the Name of The Lord. Bow your head low.

I think it is best to give 2 weeks notice. You might be asked in an interview if you gave notice and you can honestly say yes.
