Curious how the ASC team is doing after the loss of the USPI contract?

The blame for losing the largest ASC contract in the country lies largely with Medline territory sales reps across the country. There were decks to be built on the weekend that never got built and relationships that were botched in hundreds of accounts. Region Sales Managers share blame because they allowed their sales teams to muff this deal. Medline needs transparency and accountability. Fire them all.

Deals are no good if the reps do not make money, when will management learn that?

When you can stand up at a meeting and make management aware of this...

The ASC sales team is doing very poorly in areas that were highly concentrated with USPI accounts. The reps in heavy USPI areas have quit and the reps that are left are being pulled in a 1,000 directions. They need to hit growth goals of $400K in Medline branded business, while maintaining distribution, pack business, pain, and developing accounts to use their ortho implants with an hour of training and near 0 understanding of how the implant business works.

Unfortunately the way they tax the reps with various charges like breakdown fees, shipping and paying off a customers debt once they default, have caused most of the good reps to jump ship within a couple years. The reps that are left move on to management roles and try to increase the profitability in their region by adding house draws to their reps territories. The best area at Medline to be in is Scientific products. ASC is the worst division to be a part of because they will likely lose SCA within the next few years and merge the failed division with the primary care folks.
