That patients don't want biologics! They only use them when they can't get the same effect in pill form.

New drugs can get biologic like effect but in pills and patients like that more.

Amgen will be like the record player going dead!

That's ridiculous. The fact that Repatha & Prolia are biologics is NOT the problem. The problem is that they can't simply write a prescription for them. It'd be okay if, even though they have to fax in forms & get PA, Repatha would, at least most of the time, get approved at fair copay based on physician's determining it's appropriate.
What the insurance companies are doing is BS.

It's the cost and only the cost. If we would lower the cost instead of gouging people, it would be a blockbuster. Instead of making a small group pay a lot of money, lower the cost, get the PA off and get 20 M people on it. But greed rules and as long as it's a billion for a few or a billion for a lot, it's the bottom line that matters, not treating patients.

You people are dumb. It doesn't have to be about Repatha. Given the same effect, patients would rather have drug as a pill period. Oncology, Rheumatology, Cardiovascular, it don't matter.
