I agree VP/GM/DIR level, even RM/DM, is not for everyone but every company needs people who are willing to do what needs to be done (including kissing some ass)... hold on and don't get too far ahead of me here... the hope for everyone is that there will be a few who genuinely good managers and human beings who can balance what needs to be done to keep the boat floating and heading in the right direction and delivering the goods where they are needed... and helping workers at all levels stay motivated to get whatever they want from and are willing to invest in their employment. Unfortunately it doesn't take many greedy jerks or just plain poor managers to make it hell for the majority.

Anything about a Grade 19 gets them quarterly, not annually. Ask your RM!

Not true. Grade 20 gets annually--at least I do.

unfortunately with the current downturn in the market I am down to 1.8mm. It's alright, it will come back. Our company is strong and ready to move forward. When I retire next year I will be fine.

Sr DM here:: Boy you sound like a real loser. Anyone satisfied with just being a crappy (sorry to say it) field sales rep ought to hang it up now ! I started as a sales rep at age 21 and vowed to raise above that ASAP. Now at age 34 I am a Senior District Manager with bonus, options, specials and base that amount to about $255K a year. Best of all I like the power to hire and fire if my downlines do not measure up. I never had to kiss any ass to get here, but I worked 60+ hrs a week, including Christmas and New Year. I found most reps were too lazy to work holidays and I made a lot great calls on those days. It impressed my boss so much I made DM. And on top of that I am a female ! Now figure that out !!

No, with the downturn of the market my 401K is at $1.3MM. I'm confident that this will be a big year for our company. China will finally realize huge gains to carry our company over the next 10 years. With Scott White gone the international market can finally grow into the juggernaut it needs to be. Just in time for my retirement. C Ya!

White was a tool. A "Do Nothing" kind of guy. Uncle Miles couldn't protect him anymore.

12 years giving the minimum to get the 5% got rif'd with about 160k... but it's ok, I'm wealthy and only worked to pass the time. That 160 will be pocket change when I retire.

I am retired now for the last 6 months. Just hanging out at this point. I may do some part time. Getting old but my health is good. Glad I saved. I know many that have to work to 70....it's not a choice for them.
