The mood is not particularly positive - some of it is the general frustration with senior R&D management, such as the slow and now scaled back places initiative. I moved from RTP and the culture at UP is inferior to that at RTP - in all departments. There is in general a lower level of talent, mainly due to poor hiring decisions in the past and very little turnover since UP/UM were not usually targeted for cuts in previous years (like RTP, Harlow, Evreux etc were).
