Merck is in the process of another huge launch failure. BMS is certain to clean up. Amazing to watch.

What do you mean? Haven't we successfully launched Zontivity and Belsomra?

zontivity? You must be kidding. I don't think the CV team has broke the $150,000 mark in the 2 years since its "launch"

By Merck's now piss-poor standards, yes. Both of those blockbusters boast successful launches.

    Yawn.

This has to be the saddest, most pathetic meeting ever! We should be toasting BMS and their success!

We successfully launched belsomra? Seriously? Good to be a legend in your own mind I guess.

enjoyed an amazing dinner with a CTL and a few colleagues (racked up one hell of a bar bill). We pulled a drunken all nighter. Pure wisdom when one said - "just go through the motions. We all know the deal and this is going to fail. Just tell them what they want, check the box and collect the check until you can get out."

    Sage words!

BMS vs MRK. 5 years from now, what are your predictions?

Pretty easy to predict. Oncology wise merck has failed at every launch, a few early on the reps worked to save the product like emend that was destined for failure by mis management. Not that some of the products were bad. Horrendous leadership and marketing. BMS empowers their people and has real marketing in touch with real life clinicians.

At least we have our own resident lap dancer - now a marketer. I see what she markets. It used to be somewhat hot- now your fat and smoked a little too much herb.

This is not a launch. It's a train wreck. Does ANYONE want to refill their first prescription?
