HO here. No, not EA. I meant "home office." Esai made the deal with DSI before BM got brought on. The crazy thing is now BM replaces RL with the buyout, since BM is VP of sales at Esai. Talk about karma! I'm very excited!

Is this thread true or along the lines of BS like the Howard Stern thread?

If this is a joke, its both not funny and cruel. Don't mess with peoples emotions like this. This is serious cr*p and many peoples lives are in the balance.

if this is true what would that mean for field sales? Would there still be massive layoff in January?

Do your self a favor, start looking now. Who knows you might time it right get the severance and a better job that pays more( not hard bc dsi is sooo cheap) stock options, bonus you can actually make and Elt that is better than the r***** bros Ken and Rob who do nothing buy lie. And if you don't get laid off continue to work. I know its difficult but trust me there is life after Dsi. God speed and good luck, as spcock would say "Live long and Prosper my Friend!"

Yes if this were true--what exactly would it mean for field sales.

I would still be looking...when one company takes over another they generally bring their own people and retain very few if any legacy employees. Just ask the former Warner Chilcott employees what happened when Actavis bought them. Oh and by the way... they too had to interview for their jobs in November and then EVERYONE was let go by Actavis via conference call in January!

DSI will not be acquired. Our current portfolio is, there is no other way to say it, terrible.

Pipeline is vaguely promising, but five years out, minimum.

Those of us who survive the approaching cut, and the number will be be few, should dash any hope of selling in the oncology space. That will never happen. DSI will - if we're even called DSI in five years - recruit only reps with prior oncology and highly specialized experience, relationships, etc.

So, if not for oncology, what's the point of remaining at DSI?

I'm just messing with you guys. Go find another job before all the good one's are taken.

Companies by products not people. You guys are on the right track, we are probably not in a buy out situation here.

Why would anyone buyout a company with no real pipeline and a legacy of failed launches (edoxaban, Ranbaxy). Better to let DSI fade a away. Less competition.
