Be ready to work for an Ahole if L.S. is your manager. Best part is everyone else besides your manager will value what you do.

I am expecting an offer, and after reading all of this I'm not sure if I should accept either... However, I was laid off and really don't want to sit around for weeks interviewing when I could have taken this job. Recruiter said good $$ with a low of $90ish on up. Can anyone confirm? I want to prepare myself to negotiate if I am low-balled.

Is the micro-management really as bad as you say? Better yet, in your opinion who are the better managers? I don't want to say the region I am in in case they are snooping around on here.

Thanks for the honest and helpful feedback...

Take the job and continue to interview..... Plain and simple. This place sucks, micro management and no professional behavior in sales or nursing by a bunch of under qualified nit wits that kissed ass to get where they are....nothing else could explain the lack of quality in the MS business unit managers......

Thanks for the feedback. Do you know anything regarding salary expectations?

I would not take it no matter what. I just left and could not be happier. The lack of leadership, consistent poor customer service out of my control and micromanagement is destroying any hope of being successful. The reps are miserable as well. All of the reps I worked with are desperately looking to get out.

just have to add...Hate it Hate it Hate it here....love helping patients navigate through and love being able to connect with neurology offices but the micromanaging by my area nurse manager is making me look elsewhere. Not to mention the constant adjusting of goals midstream, and the nurse but not a nurse BS. I can't take it anymore!

That doesnt matter! A manager can't isolate him/her from the toxic culture that thrives in the MSBU.

OMG - thought I was a lone wolf thinking this place sucks! The nurses are so isolated from each other. (Oops I mean PSLs we are not allowed to call ourselves nurses.) I have never felt so degraded beaten and defeated my entire career as a nurse. The nurse leads are horrible demeaning bitches who don't have an ounce of compassion and I include those national pieces of shit in this group. Their sole job is to do whatever they can to make you look like a complete screw up. Do they even know how to manage anyone? I swear Amber tried to find the few people that NEVER had management experience and made them the management. Go figure - it is Novartis right???

Watch your backs everyone and trust no one!!! They praise a culture of snitching and backstabbing. If you are looking at coming on board RUN RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN AWAY FROM HERE! You are better working back on night shift in he hospital. Especially if LS is your manager - because even when you give everything you have it wont be enough. She wins the award for the biggest condescending BITCH in the MSBU. Hands Down!

I am from the west and her reputation is known even out here. I had the pleasure of hearing her at new hire training. Haven't been spoken to that way since 1st grade. It was if I could possibly not have known a thing before she spoke. Oh thank you wise one for installing such wisdom into everyone here. I know we would have all been failures before your brilliance was so graciously shared to me.

It's not much different out here - we are all machines forced to turn as much profit as quickly as possible if it maimes me in the process....oh well guess you just couldn't cut it. There are more suckers where you came from.

So sad. Like so many others I used to be in MSBU and every patient , neurologist, staffer, and sales rep appreciates and respects the work done by the PSLs. It's only the misfits in management with their inflated and mistaken sense of self worth who have no clue that G would quickly circle the drain without the PSLs. And BTW, couldn't agree more what a total ass L.S. is.

Today there are 15 vacant territories Due to disability or the person left. Pretty bad for a group of less than 75....

What does that say to you?

I'm a sales specialist in the MS Division and cannot stress enough to stay away from this place. I have never been so miserable in my life. Leadership has destroyed this division in every way possible, but yet the reps are the only ones taking the blame. While we are having do more admin busy work and countless ride alongs, dickweeds like Matt are being recycled through the division to fuck up more stuff. And of course, the ring leader of the toxicity, Conrad is chosen as one of the two RD's to lead. WTF????

And so the BS continues..... Way to go! Great way to end the year. So looking forward to the new alignment layoffs and changes that are coming in January.

This is a Novartis corporate issue and it permeates throughout the company. People get ahead based on ass kissing and self promotion. This is true at the highest levels of development and th various business units. As senior management is permeated by these types, they do not want change, as it protects their jobs and HR protects management no matter what. This is the crux of the problem.

This is the most screwsef up job ever. Totally agree Amber has surrounded herself with total misfits. The nationals are jokes, no PSL respects them and tweedle dee and tweedle dumb (Bil and Bob) are total incompetents both with frontal lobe damage. Novartis better dust off the non compete because there will be another mass exodus after the March bonus, or when Genentech starts to hire.
