Ha-IBM troll go away. IBM is a disaster and the senior leadership is giving them absolute power and all they do is try and blame everybody. Nothing gets done. You have to do something to compare savings.

It's CONFIRMED ~100 people were let go in Lake County this morning. They were from AP14 & J46. Two of them were my manager and her Director.

 

Im part of GIS and was witness to these layoffs today to my fellow coworkers. confirmed and unfortunate. Package wasnt horrible. Their will be more to come in the coming months . this was just wave 1. Keep up your resumes.

10% layoffs in my team yesterday in GIS. I was hoping to be packaged and I would take it and go. This place is so toxic. Whomever is left will beat each other other silly working 70+ hours thinking it will save there job. Not.

My balls itch, this must be true.

 

Senior DM here; seriously this thread had degraded to a BS session. However, the outsourcing continues in NJ/PA, in fact across the US. Displaced ITers should consider coming back through the temp job agency which is filling the jobs (don't believe it is IBM, at least in my region). We have had good results with these people and many are just the Abbott folks rehired although they are de-benefitted, etc.
