if you are the same person who composed both of these excellent tunes, you are seriously wasting your time and energy in pharma; you absolutely should be pursuing a writing career; comedy writing, satirical, whatever - cut a cd, find an agent: YOU HAVE CREATIVE TALENT WHICH IS CERTAINLY NOT BEING UTILIZED HERE!! [ QUOTE ]
Sung to: “The Beverly Hillbillies” theme

    Intro:

Come and listen to a story about a company that’s dead.
A poor excuse for products, barely kept employees fed.
Then one day while promoting the P.L.A.C.E. kits.
“Destroy everything!” cause an investigation hits.

Fraud, that is, shady practices, FDA probe.

Well the first thing you know ol’ Eugene is in the clear,
He tells Smith and Keefer “Lets move away from here!”
Said, “The Northeast is the place we ought to be.”
So they loaded up the truck and moved to New Jersey.

The Garden State, that is. Nuclear waste, open cesspools.

    Ending:

Well now its time to say goodbye to half the employees.
Eugene can’t afford our loss, especially with no hockey.
You're all invited back again to this locality.
But you’ll need to be employed by a different pharma company.

Layoffs, that is. Set a spell. Take your shoes off.

    Don’t come back now, y'hear?

To the tune of MJ's "Thriller"

    It's close to midddddnight
and no one has called me on the phone...
    I sit and wonnnnnder
if I should just keep my azz at home......

I want to scream! Cause I don't think that I will make it
I start to freeze as horror looks me right between the eyes
    I'm paralyzed....

Cause this is killer, killer, right?
And no one's gonna save me from the call coming tonight
I need a Miller, Miller, light!
I'm streesing out tonight and this is killer, killer

You hear the phone ring hope that it's Biovail this time
You have a cold hand and hope they haven't lost their mind
You close your eyes and hope that this is just imagination
But all the while it's a telemarketer blowing up your line
    It's gonna be more time.....

I swear this is killer, killer, right?
And no one's gonna save me from the call coming tonight
I need a Miller, Miller, light!
I'm streesing out tonight and this is killer, killer

    :::::::Bridge:::::::::::::::::::

    Biovail please call
Cause I tired of this charade
I need to know what's going on tonight
    This IS my life

Cause this is killer, killer, right
And no one's gonna save me from the call coming tonight
Pass me a Miller, Miller, light!
I'm streesing out tonight and this is killer, killer
    Toniiiight.......

Glad you liked it. I wrote the Beverly Hillbillies, as well as Yesterday, Margaritaville, Jump, and I Want A new Drug. The others I cannot take credit for.

Thought this old thread might bring a laugh to some of the past employees, or those recently let go! It has some great posts.
