    Is gel-one an easy sell? What are the barriers when selling against orthotics or Synvisc?

    Gel One against orthotics can be a tough sell considering the two have almost nothing in common and someone looking to buy orthotics likely has no interest in buying hyaluronic acid. And no, an orthodontist will not have any interest in hyaluronic acid either.

    The data for HA is controversial and many believe it to be no better than placebo, however, you will find plenty of physicians willing to use it as long as the reimbursement makes sense. The success of Gel One will depend three things: the cost to whoever is purchasing (physician practice or hospital), the reimbursement amount, and whether the patient's insurance has a preferred HA vendor. You will be able to find opportunities for Gel One, but personally, it is not something I would want to sell because the variables are constantly changing and many are beyond your control.
