I feel sooooooo guilty selling my Docs this expensive piece of shit technology. In theory it's pretty cool but not necessary. I've since moved on to another company that has freaking awesome technology but my Doctor that I sold the Ocelot to won't hardly speak to me anymore because he has no local rep to assist him with his cases.....I think the closest rep is nearly 4 hrs away.

    Borrell is a retread

    Nothing special there

Bottom line is technology is overpriced POS with no reimbursement
Hospitals love those scenarios in this environment

Ha! Isn't that the truth, we pay the utimate price while middle mgmt hands out pips and plays tough guy. The hospitals will continue to ignore and/or shut out this business model until device wakes up and smells the corpses. I'm trying so hard to figure out what I'm gonna do with my life now that our industry has all but died, hey don't forget that spreadsheet! What a joke...

Leave Borrell alone - you think there's a reason he's the 10th vp sales to not workout. Equation is fairly simple - old leadership/managers + horrid marketing = continuous increase in op spend and decrease in sales. the majority of the regional directors have been effen up the culture. Now they have an asshole CEO and a head of marketing (BB) who can't make a decision to save a tree! keeping the likes of B Beasley et al is mind-blowing...he has single handedly confused everyone.

    Two questions:
    1. How many reps in the field now?
    2. Is the new device ever coming out?

Answer: less than 40 and yes.

BUT doesn't matter marketing "leader" is ineffective, not to mention sales "leaders" are amateur at best / Sales ppl make the decisions and with their best interest NOT the company. Sad - especially bc there are some good ppl. Not to mention the company has is involved w nepotism and double dipping. Everyone knows Avinger will go know where w this trajectory...#recruitersdream

Was contacted today about role at Avinger. What gives? Based on the feedback on this board, the tech is good, but leadership is bad, but looks like JS is wanting to fix that? Recruiter is telling me to expect 9x close on equity.

All smoke and mirrors. high priced cumbersome technology, doesn't work as advertised. (including Pantheris). Company is pushing a "lumivascular marketing program" which involves doing referral work for the hospital and KOL. They honestly think that they are the first company to ever do this. They are having a hard time hiring qualified talent.
