HQ here and we have jumped the shark.

The RIF formula has been approved and the primary variable is not getting sued. We are not looking to keep the best, instead we first want to make sure we don't get sued.

What does this mean to you in the field: it means that we will be using your 2012 & 2013 ratings. We aren't going to use the actual performance of the past years because as you will recall, we don't have any labels for your performance.

So, we will use ratings 2 years old to minimize lawsuits and the results again is that we may or may not keep the best people. We just keep killing the sales force. Be happy if you are finally killed off.

so what exactly are you referring to and does that mean another layoff is coming? Who will it impact, Primary care, specialty. Don't we have anything affecting the upper layers or should i say the Royal Ones!!!

I am NOT surprised. We have enough cash to hide a lot of mistakes.

New flash sales clowns: we are Pfizer. We are going to sell a bunch of product with or without you. We'd prefer you to be good and we might sell a little more. We just don't want you to get us in trouble.

Keeping the best performers over time carries risk. To be a good long term performer, you need to play near the edge. We don't like that.

If we keep the middle and get rid of the best and the worst, we will still sell a ton. We are Pfizer. Yet we won't get sued.

    Get used to it.

If you have been here since 2005 you are the middle. Plain vanilla. Missionary position.

    That's how we like it.

We had a cryptic conference call with DBM today about company wide hiring freeze. Is this what this posting is referring to?

That's not what thread is about, but I heard that from my DM today too. All open positions are frozen and will be reposted around the end of October...or at least that's what my DM said. I have a vaccines interview Monday and I'm wondering if they will still interview or just wait until after reposted

Nope. Vaccines is still moving forward. They are immune from the rest of Pfizer's Pfuckups.

The freeze is because of Women's Health restructure.
