now that it's 2015 is Alcon still a good company to work for in the sales side

Just read all the threads. Not a single person defends the culure of this company. Management is ruthless and cares only for themselves and making their number, no matter how unreasonable. I suggest looking somewhere else. Alcon is done; stick a fork in it.

 

If you read between the lines it looks like Novartis has given JG until 2017 to turn the company around. After that it's anybodys guess.

 

It isn't that Alcon needs turning around, Novartis needs to stop being given absurd growth and profit promises.

 

Sales have been sluggish. That's because you are spending all your time here whining and less time out there selling. GET OUT THERE AND MAKE YOUR GOALS.

 

Yeah, go make goals that are set wildly above average market growth rates while lacking new, innovative products that aren't dramatically over-priced.

 

and on that note..... Any news on December Layoffs?

 

I heard it was going to be across the board, not just sales.

 

I feel your pain !!! But if you think actually you are relieved of the pain and suffering... hope you got a settlement.
If I get one now I am ready to leave
