This division is going to pot, and fast. The incorporation of the GSK mindset is horrible. Even the GSK folks hated it and hate that the culture has followed here. They were hoping to go back to being sales people. Come on, people. Did you hear Bill Henshaw at our meeting? He's turned into some granola eating hippie. All he needs is some birkenstocks. Maybe he is making too many trips to Colorado? Where are our leaders? Who cares about selling with integrity? Kelli Moran can't find her way out of the Kohl's women's section to present herself like a leader, let alone be in a leadership role. Who does she have pictures of???
Joe Jimenez?? Bueller?? Someone please step up and lead this division. UGH!!!
This is why people are leaving....

Are we thinking that the 'Step Change' calls next week are to announce an incentive comp program like we had at GSK?

If so, it's been a fun few months.

absolutely- Step change is announcing that 6000 of your bonus funding is now tied to V&B. (Hocus pocus subjective funding) They get to hang onto your money until the end of fiscal year. You get a kicker if you get a 3, penalized for 1. So now they have gone to paying bonus 3x (instead of quarterly) per year and out of the 30,000$ they have it funded is now 24,000. 6000 is held until year end tied to VB.
there is a limit to how many 3's they allot- as far as I am concerned, I just took a pay cut. Why don't they look at the real problem here- Management! The smoke and mirrors that GSk operated under is driving this company into ground. Take sales out of my title- I don't sell anymore. I parrot.

Take any money you can get. 9 months from now, 1/3rd of the Novartis Oncology Sales positions will not exist. A pay cut is better than no job at all. Everyone should be preparing to jump ship at a moments notice, unless you are ready to retire.

How did you come with this idea? Have you heard any thing from the reliable source or you just speculating ? Honest answer please. Thanks

Already put the loss of Gleevec into the budgets for next year. The plan is to be headcount neutral, with some possible shifts if needed.

IF you really think the pipeline is strong then look at the record in the last 5 years .... most don't make it to market and there are other companies with better alternatives coming.

The pay with holding is total CRAP.. that's my earned income in bonus and then take it away (loss) for months with the hope that some subjective BS review where it's all about who you know that counts. It seems that even with a 2 rating it sould be more than even due to the opportunity costs. it affects your 401K, too.

Not to mention we all just took a $6000 pay cut in 2016 since the V&B payout isn't paid until February of 2017. That's one way to make sure we help offset the Gleevec LOE in 2016. Too bad they can't just be honest about it. I'd have more respect for them.

Not that it matters. It's still damn good money however you slice it. I'll put up with an awful lot for that level of pay vs the level of work it takes to get it.

You belong in the accounting/finance department, my friend. The sooner you can report income while delaying cost, the better it looks to investors.

What planet are you from?! If you just came over from GSK then I would understand this statement but if you have been here for awhile I surely don't agree with you!! How can you even think the new bonus plan is a good thing?! Everything Novartis does is for their betterment not ours!!

Novartis Oncology Reps deserve no Bonus. Old, Uneducated Sales Force. Easily replaced by a CSO for half the price. Novarts could save easily 100mil. Sick that Cancer patients provide a salary tothese clowns. Pilfering and stealing from Cancer patients.

Who said the bonus plan was a good thing????

It's sneaky accounting, which helps the bottom line.

Hearing many are polishing up resumes for some of those new jobs out there.....Abbvie, Genentech....

Funny how the Onc market will pay you almost $15K-25K more than Novartis.
