Instead in complaining, update your resume and find another opportunity. A better one. Let's face it, you've had it so easy and became so complacent. It's hard to go and work for a living. You haven't been working. Driving around for a few hours, aimlessly, dropping off samples isn't work in America. Grow a set and move on.

NOvartis is systematically reducing pay to the detail rep--and i include Surgical as well. I don't believe it is complacency, its just the harsh reality of Big Pharma reducing costs and being disingenuous about this process. I believe Novartis/Alcon should just be honest about what the game plan is and let the chips fall where they may.....then people could decide if they can live with it or not..

Be careful criticizing the best salesforce in the eye business......Be honest and fair with them and stop abusing them with a stupid look on your face as if this is all good !

 

That is what these large companies do. Business 101 at junior college. Why would they share the game plan with you? There is a big world out there. Be bold, and go and hunt! Don't spin needlessly. Find your True North, and get going. No one cares about your longing for the good old days.

 

Novartis should outsource the Board of Directors to India. After all, those $40K a year folks seem to be smart enough for damn near every other position in the company...

your targets will come a month or two into the quarter after they've determined how short they are on achieving target and how high they need to be to prevent paying as much bonus to you as possible while meeting their executive level bonus on profit delivery.
