When you see Yes Men like these guys in leadership positions, it says it all. What happened to this once mighty company? How did they run it into the ground? Where did they go wrong? How did mediocre talent keep getting promoted? In the field, we used to laugh at these guys. Now they are running the show. Is this all they've got?

it is sad indeed.. on many levels.

the old regime had their issues too, but they got things done.

this new leadership doesn't know how to execute. they have never had to execute. they grew up in an era where their agencies and other people did all their work.

Guys, both of these guys have been put out in Marketing Ops. They no longer have a valid role where the Field is concerned. This is where they stick guys who are nearing the end of the road. To my knowledge, not a single person in the last 10 years has ever recovered from being put in Marketing Ops. They've all left or been told to leave after going to Marketing Ops. A few names come to mind: Gutterman, Dosanjh, Dube, Lammers, Jagt, etc... These guys will also go the same way those that came before them did. Let's focus the discussion on people who actually make a difference in the sales organization on this thread please.

umm, you have one incorrect. Dube went to Japan, launched Breo successfully in a more difficult market than US. Recently promoted to resp franchise head.

No different than Jaime Maroney being run from the BREO job.

I had no idea Dube was still around.. good for him. glad to here it. He grew up in a very dysfunctional family, I remember that. He told us that he had no male role models in his life growing up and that he grew up very poor. I don't know much about him but good to hear he is still doing well.

I heard they were re-organizing again. I hear more layoffs looming. I bet these guys go after the Call Center..they've been eyeing that for awhile and will most likely out source it.

To be sure you can't outsource one of the most important jobs in the company?

If they were smart, they would get rid of more people from SPO as there are still plenty of people to do the real work. Although people will tell you how "busy" they are but its on items that don't matter. Meetings and meetings with no progress or decisions. The flock of sheep were trained well by Jo before she was moved on.
