Never having gone through a reorg with this company because when the writing was on the wall while I was at King, I decided to leave prior to the acquisition . Moved over to medical device and made a killing until they changed from direct sell to distribution model. I wasn't about to hand hold over 75 reps from 3 diff comp. I had to only work with the rep for that acct even if they sucked. So decided to give pharma one last chance since I'm still in my mid-30s and own my home. WTF is up with focus not on sales but R&F based on their opinion not the person actually out in the field. Sig before 10am/after 4pm, iPad use on every call, and BDOs decided by our mgrs acct for 70% of weak bonus. The use of BDOs capitated our bonuses and has nothing to do with sales. So here is my question: HRSOURCE has my recent hire date of 2014, but also a adjusted service/benefits date accounting for my time with King. HR has told me 2 diff answers when I asked which date would be used to calculate severance if I get cut...i know Wyeth had their own severance package that used adjusted years of service but I'm figuring Pfizer will screw me and just use most recent hire date....so why even have my adjusted service&benefits date listed???? It's the only reason I wasn't freaking out if WH got cut. Since they haven't updated us on what the severance pckg will look like, if they will pay us full S2 bonus or prorate it thru Q3, and what they will use to create new territories, I'm left to worry. I can't even apply for unemployment until the 60 day warn period is over because we will still be on payroll. Plus, when interviewing we can say Yes, we do currently have a job, until our official termination date. Any feedback from those who have gone through this on what severance usually looks like when they do a big cut in a division? Do we keep comp car through 60day warn period? I know benefits still come...my only option is to leave either before cut happens or keep job until I find another because like above posters , this division is dead reps walking. I do have good territory and do great w/ PVC and ok with PO..lots of volume in my area so eliminating Duavee won't hurt me. I'm just sick of worrying if my boss likes me or will screw me over on her BDO assessment of me ( which happens every semester) despite doing everything listed under each BDO 2-5...it's a popularity game to kiss ass the most on the team. No wonder Employee Relations opened an investigation on my DM..anyone that can give me a heads up about how their reorgs work, how to fight for legacy King service time, and will they pay us full S2 bonus or just through Q3???? Genuine answers please...I'm not trying to lose my house I worked so hard to buy....

If you are actually in HQ and privy to some of the severance talks, answer me this:
    1) will severance be generous since most of WH were just hired last year so typical 2wks/yr amts to 1 paycheck ( I read they also add on a auto 8wk lump sum service time to that) ??
    2) will they pay us through End of year or just the 60 day period mentioned on HRSOURCE ?
    3) since we are still selling Duavee thru Q3, will the payout full S2 bonus with BDOs or prorate it just through Q3? None of our mgrs seem to either know or haven't told us. Just tell us do business as usual through Q3 because we are still being paid on Duavee with BDOs...final bonus said to be paid in Nov once Sept numbers come in..
    3) when a division is cut midway through semester because they couldn't just wait until end of Q4, will they do the right thing and payout full amount or only 50%??

Either way this will be a depressing holiday season for all affected . Those that get cut and those that realize their jobs now revolve around a 70yr old drug

Thanks to Pfizer leadership we are an obscenely profitable corporation plus we buy back $15 billion of stock every year and we have 40 billion in cash. Why would anyone want to change this? It's the fulfillment of the American Dream. The only vision needed is to made vast amounts of money, which we do every year. Wazza matter with you????

When we get a Republican in the White House next year and a Republican Congress there will be zero funding of any women's health! Thanks for electing us though, ladies......

We buy back stock because there is NOTHING to invest in internally .
Pipeline is anemic. Investors are impatient. Buyback is best option to breath life into
    stock price.

Anyone who thinks there is a long term future in Women's health is delusional. Its just another piece in the GEP pie that will be sold off to the highest bidder. Do you really think the new buyer will maintain the Pfizer bloated sales force , I think not. Lets be honest, Premarin is a billion dollar portfolio that loses more share every year. The previous contract sales force that sold before the implementation of Womens health had better numbers than the existing sales force. What does that tell you? let me interpret if you don't understand, why should a company pay mega salaries when they can pay half the amount for the same or better results. So go head put your head in the sand and listen to pollyanna DM's tell you. you have nothing to worry about because Pfizer values YOU, just you. You may not get displaced now but its coming!!!!!

Thanks for stating the obvious genius! The entire sales force in WH knows what's coming. But your post sounds like a tool that is attempting to strike fear into others so they jump ship so your own precious job becomes more valuable. No one with any tenure knows to believe nothing on Cafe Pharma.

Did you not read the post? the precious job you refer to will cease to exist because of economics. It has nothing to do with making a position more valuable or viable but its the stupidity of jerks like you who can see beyond their own limited scope of vision. I hope you get retained but you will be bounced eventually. Its just a decision you have to make, now or later.

None of us are worried about it. We know it's going to happen. Whether we get now or once Pfizer sells off GEP in 2016. We know it's coming. But when you're a tenured sales force you don't jump ship with that kind of severance money waiting for you. 11 1/2 months for me. The longer they keep me around, the more weeks I get.

Stating the obvious and yes you are correct for waiting for the severance unless you want to continue your career with Pharma. If that's the case, those people should be posting for any open position available. It gives you the best chance of staying on with the company!

I just heard that we should know most of the details within the first two weeks of September. Can anyone else confirm this?

Pfizer is ridiculous. I think everybody in Women's Health really believes in duavee. Marketing f**ked up this drug and Pfizer gave up way too soon. It's crazy to me to just give up on this drug when every single women will go through menopause. I think that's a pretty big market basket, but let's go ahead and keep promoting flector patch and toviaz instead. Idiots

To b clear i'm not on the exec team, just someone in a department whose been asked to chime-in to help with process.
I'll do my best to answer your questions. This isn't the 1st or last time pfizer employees will be going through this.
    1. ur total time w pfizer will b used for formula
    2. HRsource is the standard will b updated if/when needed
    3. you'll be paid as stated on HRsource. Update & changes will b reported there, after communications roll out according to plan.
A lot of details have not been decided or communicated. Still discussing deployment.
This is what I know. Like I said I'm not on the exec team. I feel an obligation to communicate what I know. My dept may b trimmed after "scaling" is completed. Who knows?
    Good luck to all.

Is there at least a rep position in each State based on the new maps?

Reps maybe required to cover multiple states, it hasn't been decided. they are also considering going to a straight contract model and ending women's health. Its a new development being pushed by one of the executives who is looking to climb the ladder and increase his net worth. Sorry folks, don't mean to alarm you but it may or may not happen. Decisions need to be made quickly because everything meeds to be in place by October 1st.

So you are talking about the entire Women's health field force being let go? That's horrible!!!!
