Many stock options for those counting on those for their future are now worthless and bleeding loses more every day. Frenchie too is feeling the pain of this since much of his compensation is in options. But fear not, AZ will bail his ass out along with the rest of the idiots in charge.

AstraZeneca names Genentech's Bohen as chief medical officer
    7 hours ago
    • LONDON (Reuters) - British pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca named Sean Bohen as its chief medical officer, in an appointment that it said could help accelerate the development of new oncology and immunology medicines.

AstraZeneca, Britain's second biggest drugmaker behind GSK, has pinned its future on cancer drugs, where it is vying with rivals such as Bristol-Myers Squibb, Merck & Co and Roche in the hot area of immunotherapy treatments, which boost the immune system to fight tumors.

Bohen joins AstraZeneca from Genentech, a biotech company that was bought by Roche in 2009. He will report to Pascal Soriot, the chief executive who last year staved off a mega-merger approach from Pfizer.

"(Bohen's) impressive expertise in key areas of our exciting pipeline, including oncology and immunology, will further strengthen and accelerate the delivery of new medicines for patients," Soriot said in a statement on Monday.

Celebrating having sold all of may shares and mature options at $82 before Frenchie lost his mind and turned down the Pfizer deal. Anyone who held out for higher share prices, too bad soooo sad.

Another anonymous brilliant person who outsmarted the world, or at least the stock market. It is incredible to me that people feel better about themselves when they make posts like the one quoted above. I believe the post is a lie and that the poster did not do as he claims, I also do not believe he ever had any stock options.

Someone should do an academic study on false internet message cord postings and the mentality of such posters.

So let me guess, you held onto your shares and lost a bundle and somehow it makes you feel better to question the honesty of someone who actually made the right decision and sold.

Posts like this are the pinnacle of idiocy. If Pfizer bought AZ, you surely would be unemployed by now as you have exposed yourself to be a moron and would have been one of the first sliced. Additionally, you probably wouldn't find work outside of AZ in this environment. I truly despise idiots like you who wished for the Pfizer buyout ... Just leave already. Stop using a message board trying to feel better about yourself. Use some of that money or the AZ services and get some professional therapeutic help. Just do us all a favor and stop being an a-hole.

And you held onto your shares and lost out on an opportunity of a lifetime because you were either extremely naive to believe Frenchie's story about the bright future at AZ or you are just extremely stupid, or both.

OK big guy, you sold your options high, you were smarter than most of us and good for you. Enjoy your profits and best wishes to you. Please refrain from telling us about your other big accomplishments and also refrain from giving us advance advice, just like you did when you purportedly made your big bucks selling high with your options. If the stock runs up don't come on the board telling us (anonymously) how brave you were holding while everyone else panicked.

Oh come on. If you have options which I doubt, but if you do, then you were given plenty of advice at the time to sell during the Pfizer takeover bid. You were told that AZ would never see a stock valuation that high again or at least while your options are still eligible for sale.
It didn't take a genius to figure that one out.

    So,

anonymously you are either a genius, lucky, or an idiot.

    Who cares?

This is typical internet tripe on an otherwise worthwhile thread. Go away and stop polluting the world. Start your own thread if you have the creativity. Tell us how smart you are (were).

Another stellar performance for AZ, the market rebounds 6%, Merck up over 6% and good ole AZ up a measly 2%. Wow, incredible stuff!!! Well done. We the stockholders are thrilled with the performance.

I made a big trade today, quite complicated -- it involved puts and calls, I bought and sold both, I'll tell you how smart I was and what I did in a month when I profit by them. I guarantee I make a million bucks on this smart series of trades and I will point back to explain exactly what I did, once history is known.

I also picked the last winning lottery #s and will tell you what they are after they are announced.

We get it. You still are holding your shares and missed the opportunity of a lifetime to cash in when the stock was in the $80s. Don't blame me because you didn't read the situation correctly or you were too lazy to manage your options properly. If the shares had gone to $200 then I would have felt stupid too for selling. Not saying I am a genius, just that anyone who didn't sell has to feel pretty stupid now. Particularly holding shares that are now under water.

You guarantee you make a million bucks. What are you, 17 years old?

Why yes, I am just 17 years old and I have made a much better capital investment decision than the collective AZ BOD! This is my first investment venture, outside of buying Pokemon Cards!!! Just yesterday my most pressing decision was how to rid my self of acne, and now I am a global master of wealth management. WOW!!! Is it always this easy to outperform the geniuses assigned to govern this global behemoth???
