    20% of my income now being withheld until the machine says it's ok. You may not use that money anymore, you may not earn interest on that money, you may not count on selling more...this is a sales job not a daycare!

    if there was a consistant problem with rep behavior then this might make sense. We are the sacrificial lambs.

    Comp as already tied to VB's through year end raises. Now they will punish you!

    Let's face it this is t a sales job. To many constraints closed access no lunches people won't do dinners. Office don't see reps or even take samples, some won't even take literature. Managed care governs everything so to be held to goals that are unattainable for all those reasons really isn't fair ...however being held accountable for V&B when that is so subjective is t fair either...don't know what the answer is !

    Yes, basic English is one of them.... There 'are'! But then again can't offend you if you're an Ebonics major.....bahahahaha!

    how has step change affected the sales position? We are beginning to implement it at Alcon.

    That's true because the old Pharma rep sales model is broken in the new healthcare environment but management refuses to acknowledge that fact, perhaps because they their own irrelevance will be on display.

    Exactly ! I'm not opposed to the "change"
    It has to change ... What I don't like is being evaluated on the same criteria as we were 10 years ago , calls per day, spending your budget, have many lunches and speaker programs have you had ? We need to change ... The entire industry needs to change I get it ... I don't know what the answer is and no matter what happens someone will be unhappy but it's miserable when you are asked to "do things differently " but the evaluation metrics haven't changed eventhough the market has, and there is no trust ... None ...
