Conference call tomorrow with district conference call immediately after...doesn't sound good. It was great while it lasted! Anybody have any specifics??

Your right my DM just confirmed the exact same thing. It was a great try but we are just dying on the vine. Its time for Pfizer to realize that the whole DM rep system is antiquated and needs to be changed because its truly a waste of time.

Well, we will find out in 90 minutes...anytime eye head of sales would say to cancel your lunch today to be on a conference , means it is not good news

Well just as we suspected, the end is coming and will happen around Christmas. Thank you Pfizer. Our leadership's tone of voice was full of doom and gloom but we all should have know the writing was on the board. First when are sales director left to do a secondment, that was the first sign, 2nd when Amy Jenner peered into our world was the second sign. She is involved in almost every down sizing that effects this company. How she manages to stay on is beyond belief. There will be a 50% cut in personnel, make no mistake. Once you are sent to GEP you will be auctioned off to the highest bidder and then be cut again. What's so amazing is that those responsible for letting this franchise tank are not being held accountable for their mistake. Had Pfizer continued on in the Wyeth tradition then this would be a completely different story. An executive in his infinite wisdom saw no future and just about tanked this franchise. I am sure who ever they are, they are continuing with their gigantic salaries and bonuses as we wait our demise.

What was management's mistake? How would you fix it?

whenWyeth was absorbed, the woman's health division should have stayed in place, thereby solidifying relationships and maintaining a solid presence in women's health. Unfortunately a billion dollar franchise was kicked to the curb. Yet when it was time to launch Duavee, new relationships had robe established and trust rebuilt but it was too late. Someone made that decision and yet they probably have been rewarded with a promotion

Let's see….Duavee is doing better in its first year of promotion than any other recent Pfizer launch. Pfizer promised shareholders certain dollar figures would be met in the first year or two, thus causing an increase in share price. Pfizer fails to meet dollar goals so save face, they resize and reorganize the sales force. Sounds about right. We drive the business. They forecast bad goals. We pay the price.

Wait a minute, I read post after post of detailers (pharm. reps) who don't even see doctors. They are shuffled off to the nurse's desk, get that signature and hit the road. How can you be driving the business when you don't see the Dr. writing the script? Who are you fooling? And, shouldn't management set aggressive goals for all you drivers of the business? Can't you almighty movers and shakers make six or more calls in an eight hour day? According to other CP posts, reps. are paid to essentially do nothing at all. And, you are paid handsomely compared to what others make for what is usually a rough day. Just go away.

Well, we all knew that this going to happen. I believe that almost everyone did not sell enough Duavee to cover their salary, expenses and benefits. Yet, I would like to know who or which company said that " Duavee will be an instant success and market leader...". So, who gets laid off? I would suggest that any big city that has two reps in the same territory will see one of them disappear. Very low Duavee and PVC/PO territories will either re-absorbed by a Snear by rep or white spaced. saddest point is that we may need to start making career decisions without the best of information as I bet the new footprint maps will not be posted for a real long time, as they hope everyone will jump ship.

Sooo whats the time frame? Yr end?
If so it fits the pattern since 2006.
You'd think these ass clowns, erroneously call leaders, would get it right for more than
    a year or two.
    NO LEADERSHIP TALENT on top.

Fix mgt the same way you fix a football team: get rid of management, starting at the TOP

If you're believing the complaining and "rep day" you're reading on this blog, then that's your mistake. Frankly, you really don't know what you're talking about.

I'm not in Women's Health, but I feel for you. It's scary, but I guess the only good thing is that they let you know so far in advance. Remember the first 4-5 layoffs? Management denied everything right up till the day before they let people know.... in late October! Remember that bullshit?

"FFO is FF Over" Yeah, right.

This decision is just good business for Pfizer. We are not going to support a business that isn't making enough money. Did you think just because you're a card-carrying Republican you'd always get a 6-figure salary for 20 hours of work a week? That's hilarious.

F you! Who the hell do you think you are?? My guess is, if you feel the need to come on here and talk shit to people going through a stressful time you must have issues The sad part of this is that this brand was mismanaged from the beginning! I wanted to throw up on the conf call when everyone of those idiots said "we are proud of you" "this move is a testament to the value you have" "thank you" and so on and so on. We aren't babies, tell us what we need to know and get on with it. We see through your bullshit. Good day sir!

    ,
So how does that mean anything. Think about your super specialty groups like Oncology. They rarely if ever get to see the Dr. and are shuffled to the the nurse or worse an MA to give them a message that falls on deaf ears. Its no secret, that Oncologists are not accessible but we continue to expand the division and ignore the true facts. In Women's Health, we actually to do get to see the Drs. The company is so distorted and convoluted that the management has no clue about the truth. We have way too many Managers( no not Dm's), directors, VP's etc, that really need to be cut but the ELT needs them to kiss their butts, so it will never happen!
