I guess it's back to Allegra or Claritin or whatever it was back in primary care for you. And not quick enough for us!

Its too late I fear. People are hardly working and morale is beyond horrible. Way way too late to operate as a real oncology company, that idea hit the high seas years ago. It is impossible with the current management team- very limited by this group and their lack of talent. The other problem is the "imports" from the merger and new hires- none would have even garnered an interview a few years back even for merck primary care let alone Oncology.

The down spiral has been on by most accounts since we lived with jokers such as Major Sandee Harms and then the poster boy for the misguided Peet Straus. Somehow went from an amazing place to a girl scout cookie delivery service. I remember meetings would be ablaze with scientific discussion. Back then many of the reps and managers had serious clinical backgrounds and all had serious resumes. And serious connections. And all came here at a place in time. And it was gradually destroyed over time, on purpose. Sandee Harms (major harm) lived up to her name and reputation for failure for sure! We had reps here that were cancer survivors- and very passionate about the job, one was terminated while fighting stage 4, another died and not a thing was said to the field.

You merck oncology reps are so arrogant. I was an SP rep and did ammmazzing with temodar. I even do extra and show up late at my offices and catch docs in the parking lot with Dunkin gift cards (okay I know we aren't supposed to but we all do) and get out a quick blurb. Never had a bad review- EVER. Always got good reviews from my manager and amazing feedback on my lunches. I was glad merck bought us. Then after a few months in I found out my merck counterpart- who treated me like a secretary and like dirt had a base salary over 134,000. Lets just say my husband and I don't make that combined. And my manager from merck treats me to this day like dirt. And how I found out was my counterpart left her pad folio in my car one day and it had her w-2 in it. And I know at the time she was in territory at most two days a week and even does volunteer work during the work day and mommy and me! I never reported her- should I?

The division has no standards. Just look at the management staff where there is everything from ignorant fools to uninspiring trollops.
The vast majority of reps can't discuss the days lunch menu let alone scientific concepts and patient care. Find a real company to work for or better yet start your own business that is if you can get out of bed before noon.

There are zero standards in the Division. Just observe the uninspiring management and useless untrained academically challenged reps.

Anyone know what the marketing changes were? Hearing major and one CTL on a PIP in the north. Good to see as changes might be in the works.
