Word is - more sales force evaluations are underway and another layoff is coming soon. I'm not inclined to believe these types of rumors, but given our recent history - I'm nervous. Any validity to these rumors?

LOL! "Not inclined to believe these rumors?" Wow, there's just no help for some people! I guess all the rumors of the layoff in January didn't convince you? How about the rumors of a big June layoff? Those sky-rocketing Brisdelle numbers must have you convinced you're safe? I seriously don't even know why I waste time responding to people like you? There will DEFINITELY be another layoff in September. The company will downsize to a number of territories that have high Minivelle numbers, since it is their only salesforce revenue maker. If you have a top 25 to 40 Mini territory you have decent chance of survival throughout the year. If you don't it's 70% chance you're gone.

I am inclined to believe that there will definitely be another round of layoffs. This time to possibly include an RD otherwise they'll be RD'ing over 3-4 districts each.

In my first day of business school way back in the day, Business 101, I was taught the most basic business rules. Companies survive by growing profits. There are 2 basic ways to grow profits....either increase sales or reduce costs. Time to face reality. The company walked away from HRT and put their eggs in the generic paroxitine basket, putting Noven on the path of no growth.

Anybody with a shred of common sense should be interviewing. There are plenty of good jobs out there. Good luck.

Agreed! But forgot one thing on how to grow revenue. Raise the prices! And we have done that. We got one outa 3 going for us...although the price increase will eventually piss docs off and patients as well so in the end, detrimental.

They have raised price for cash pay price on Brisdelle twice now...it's embarrassing. Make sure not to proactively tell the doc. Rush shipment of Combipatch...how long has it been sitting in Noven warehouse? And walked away from Minivelle, adjusting gears too late. Where is the leadership here? Why are the clowns in NYC the last to know what the sales force could have told you a long time ago. Accounts are more interested in Minivelle. Brisdelle is a disaster...from the changing copay card, pharmacy switches, EMR's, generic paroxetine, refills, etc etc etc.

I have no doubt there will be lay offs. I have no doubt they will blame the sales force. The last people they will blame is themselves. The powers that be in NYC will still have their fat pay checks, despite missing the Hitsamitsu goal. Maybe you can grab a couple of million dollars out of Andy P.'s golden parachute and fix this. The arrogance from the top is despicable.

Rather than continue to raise the price of the products, why doesn't upper management take a 25% pay cut effective T3 for fucking this up so badly...

Wow, I could have written this post, especially the last paragraph. Well said! I have never worked for a group of management (notice I didn't say leaders) that could have asked for opinions from reps and were too arrogant to do so. You should all be ashamed of what you have done to this company and to the lives of all your reps.
And really, do we need all of this upper management? You need to lay off some of yourselves, who are just collecting a paycheck and wasting time every day and accomplishing nothing. At least the reps in the field can try to get a doc to write
an Rx that brings in some money. Wake up NY. No one respects you anymore!!!

Ouch! The truth does hurt. Agreed. Like we need 2 regional directors, for starters. With the DM's leaving you'll have a regional for every 3 DM's... and dropping. What the DM's need are more conference calls to explain accountability. LOL. That cracks me up. How about accountability in NY? I remember the famous words of a marketing person 18 months ago. "You have to stop thinking/talking about estrogen. Estrogen is history and Brisdelle is this companies future. Success or failure, it is our future!" I laughed at his statement then and I'm shaking my head still. How, (seriously how) did anyone ever think this generic drug was the answer?
    Circa 2011:
    LDMP is a game changer!
    "What is LDMP?"
    It's paroxetine 7.5mg.
"You are kidding me, right? I mean, it's generic and most doctors hate it because of it's severe weight gain and sexual dysfunction."
You don't understand. In clinical trials it reduced women's hot flashes by one a day.... You heard me right... One a day!
"And that is a good thing?"
Yes, if a woman only has one hot flash a day.
    "Touche'!"

    Hey here's a crazy thought:

We sell MV as a quality HRT delivery system for the docs who believe in HRT. Continue to chip away at Premarin. Solidify the quality of the delivery system. And do it all with no national TV advertising, just 100 rep salaries, a reasonable lunch budget, and a few speaker programs.

At the same time we try to sell the dog to the people who don't believe in HRT. I mean, we only have like 15 years of prescribing data. And since they use nothing now, we have nothing to lose right? What little we get is a plus. Easy enough. Maybe experiment with a DTC ad, but if it flops DROP IT.

So we can make a reasonable effort to grow into our strength with the premium delivery system while at the same time generate new revenue from the untapped GP market. But nah , the dopes running the show at Noven decide to walk away from the brand that built the company, and tried to replace it all by going all-in with a branded premium priced product that will NEVER have MC coverage and forever more have $4 generic competition, and spend hundreds of millions trying to get a handful of patients to ask their doctor for it until they find out the same thing is available for $4.....whoops!

BRILLIANT!!! Someday one of my grandchildren will be getting their MBA at Wharton and they'll have case study blunders that caused companies to crash and burn like the Hindenburg and I'll say "Yes Johnny, I worked for that company."

the roster is not available to the sales reps - they have it password protected so managers cannot forward out to us. I assume so they can hide how many people have actually quit.

Maybe they should bring back Carol to rally the troops. I mean, she's such a warm caring person that people trust and rally around.
