    "Seven Bridges Road"

    There are stars
    In the Southern sky
    Southward as you go
    There is moonlight
    And moss in the trees
    Down the Seven Bridges Road

Now I have loved you like a baby
    Like some lonesome child
And I have loved you in a tame way
And I have loved you wild

Sometimes there's a part of me
Has to turn from here and go
Running like a child from these warm stars
    Down the Seven Bridges Road

There are stars in the Southern sky
    And if ever you decide
    You should go
There is a taste of thyme sweetened honey
    Down the Seven Bridges Road

So it appears as though Medtronic has removed Neonatal ventilation capabilities from the 980.......that is HUGE! They just left themselves out of a HUGE segment of business! But I can definitely see why they did it.......I'm sure they saw a disaster occurring on-patient in the future. Even under the "specifications" section on the website, it lists the weight range as 3.5kg as the lowest weight. All references to "NeoMode" have also been removed.

This ain't your daddy's Puritan Bennett anymore!

Wow. Was there a clinical issue?? Previous posts indicated a neo issue but I can't find anything online.

Ladies fish and gentlemen (BOC - Subhuman). Another recall? FDA intervention?

If you go to Covidien.com then choose Covidien Products, you will see the 980 is not even a featured product. You need to search for the 980 to find information about it. Something must be very wrong to warrant this.

It was a ticking bomb due to combo of obsolete breath trigger mechanism and unreliable system architecture. The whole neo marketing was unethical.

Check out the MDRs in the open access FDA Maude database for the tip of the iceberg. A variety of ugly faults are revealed. Clearly a wise decision to withdraw neomode.

Hey 980 eng! How's ur stuff going? Team up?

So where r the muppets toeing company line now? Maybe some people been telling the truth for about 2 years eh? Still bleeding company colors? Shame on every 1 that accepted the BS without thought.

NICU supposed to be beach head for accts with 980. Toss strategy out the window.

980 is shadow of what it was supposed to @ launch. # features pared and shaved b4 510k submitted huge. Think on this, even with a simpler finished product to contend with, company couldn't get it right. Been how many recalls in 18 months, now this? Feeling confident what you're selling?

You think this the last major bug? Think the field action was done in a timely manner? How much time passed from initial complaint before anything was done? How would NICU customers react if they knew all the details? What if they looked at MAUDE?

There is no justification with NICU babies for waiting, stalling or doing nothing which has happened b4. If u were on calls between Boulder & Carlsbad when this shit goes down it would make ur head spin and stop selling this product. Leadership sees units and revenue, could give 2 shits about people using the device and patients.

Omar, how about company does the right thing, right away, all the time? I'm sure this isn't the first time you have heard of people doing the right thing.

That's right, they mentioned a legal team in earlier posts. I'd reach out to J. Guy (they screwed him over), Carlsbad ppl shoved out when 980 completed, people from sales or marketing (may have stuff on shady commercial business practices like false claims, off label ie info that you may not have or can get in discovery) and check litigation past few years. Never know you may find willing participants. More people, more demonstrated history, bad behavior, prior bad acts, etc.

    I Love the Night'
    From: 'Spectres' (1978)

The haunting 'I Love the Night' oozes with after-dark moodiness. Chiming guitars and sweet harmonies add to the track's inherent beauty. "The day is OK, and the sun can be fun, but I live to see those rays slip away" captures it perfectly, right before Buck Dharma lets loose a salty solo. It's one of the band's most all-time gorgeous songs.

Listen also to live version of The Reaper on E.T. live ...heavy stuff
and don't forget Death valley nights...beautiful and scary

    Bleached by the sun
    And scorched by the moon
If I make it 'til tomorrow noon I'm leaving

    'tween the horror of space
    And the terror of time
My heart in crystal down the line I'm screaming

What I need is a kiss from you babe
    Before it's hangover time
What I need is some love from you babe
    Before this stampede arrives
