    Anyone hearing anything out there?
I have been doing this gig 3 years and I am already seeing what everyone is talking about. It is a dead end job. I am in my late 20's and I see my classmates getting solid, professional jobs that they are actually using their brain. I hate to say it but this job is one of the most demoralizing jobs I have had. (Including the restaurants I worked in through school).
I am starting my MBA program this fall. If I would get separated, do we still get a tuition reimbursement for classes we already registered for?

Amusing...if you think an MBA will help you land a job that pays equitable to what you are making now when the only experience you have is pharma sales...you will be back waiting tables. Very few have ever gone outside of the industry (meaning outside of pharma and Med device) and done better. The only thing you are developing yourself to do now is to move to the next pharma job.

Layoffs are usually in the 4th quarter of each year and based upon how many people the following years' budget allows.

Glad you got it all figured out. Perhaps the OP has ambitions, talents, and courage that you lack that will propel him/her to success in another job sector where you would fail?

whoa! nice zinger! here are the facts-MBA, ambition, talents, etc with ONLY pharma sales rep experience will only get you another pharma rep job. why the hell would someone hire you for anything making he same money with only that experience? anyone with an actual business will not do this. sorry folks-the rep job is a complete joke!

Yes, the rep job is a complete joke with no value but we're making big bucks and we can bad-mouth people who earn a lot less. Hey, we're ignorant, shallow and proud Republicans!

Read the Town Hall summary and therein lies your answer as to where the cuts will occur, timeline may be Q4.

OP, you summed it up pretty nicely..get out if you are still in late 20s.. 3 years is enough of being a rep...if you stay in (assuming not getting laid off) 10 years from now what will you be doing in this job that is any different from today..there's not much career growth here...good luck moving forward.
