The MDT board said I should try here as well. A recruiter contacted me out of the blue regarding an account rep for Extended Care. The product lines will include products from respiratory/monitoring, Vascular and Medical Supplies portfolio. I've been in the field for a few years, good numbers, but always curious of opportunities. Whats the skinny on this position? Call points (hospitals? home care?) Salary range? Reimbursment? Company car? I'll be honest, it has me interested. Thanks!
Why is that? Braindead work, toxic environment, $ or all of the above? What is the comp for this anyway?
That's a shame. Seems like that's coming to be the norm in our field now. Curious question, though, what's comp look like for this position?
Sorry, not the OP here, but I had looked into this type of position as well. Im not in the industry, so for me, 'other positions' are hard to come by, let alone even be considered for. With that said, what is typical bene's for this, such as salary, car, etc?
You will get a salary and a car. Health insurance if you're not too fat and have fewer than three kids.
Well shit. what if I'm fat AND have more than 3 kids? Will they make an exception for very fertile, portly fellows? I give that Duggar fella a run for his money.
Could you me more information? I too have a job interview for this position and have a few concerns. No hospital call points? Not sure how strong they are in these facilities I would be calling on..... Would be nice to get my foot in the door with Medtronic but not sure on this position. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!
It is a low margin business and not a core focus of MDT portfolio. It will be divested sooner or later. From hospitals perspectives the portfolio is highly commoditized. If you are planning to enter MedDevice, pick portfolio(s) that are growing. Just my 2 cents.
