I'm curious if anyone has heard of or been contacted by AltheraMune? (An allergy - testing company claiming to be partnerning with Hycor Labs).

A few things are a little sketchy to me....comm. only, no benefits, very little representation that I can find from doing a Linkedin Search.

    Thanks!

Hi, my wife was recently approached by Altheramune as well. It sounds like it could be interesting, but it suspicious to me that there is really no information on their website -- they have pages, but they are lacking in concrete information. For example, they don't list their investors or management team members, yet brag about being invested in by a huge fund in a recent email received by my wife.

The Altheramune domain was only created one year ago, so it is a very new company.
There is no listing with the BBB.
Google turns up almost nothing (except the prior forum post).

    Has anybody else encountered them?

Very Suspicious Indeed. If they are dissolved..why are they still advertising and trying to do business. I have run across them before in our medical office...they are sleezy salesman!

AltheraMune was an LLC and switch to an S Corporation. That's why you see the LLC dissolved on 6/20/2011. They are funded by Hycor BioMedical.

I just went throught the entire interview process. I was sent a commission plan which was manipulated to look great. Once I reviewed it in detail, they are working with extenuating cercamstances that are not close to attainable. Don't even consider these guys. They are an absolute joke trying to use a down market to attract someone in dispare willing to do anything for a job. Funny thing is after you have spent $5K in expenses, you will realize that you have lost all of that and more. 1099 with an audacious commission plan is not where you want to be.

That depends if you can sell. If you have great relationships and can sell, sky's the limit for opportunity. If you can't, well this isn't the right opportunity.

I worked at Hycor Biomedical. This company is a freaking JOKE. They have been around for over 30 yrs with former names of course but oh boy. This place is extremely disorganized. Kids are being hired just because they have a stupid bachelors in Biology. So stupid. What do these kids have to benefit Hycor. This place is a joke. The aliquoting of frozen serum is another joke and omg the technicians running all these “research tests to come out with reagents” what a joke. Nothing is accurate. The way they follow there” SOP’s” is something to laugh about.

No wonder people are layed off/fired every year. This place is shady. I’m surprised it hasn’t closed down. I heard a lot of the money comes from investors. Tick tock, another proove bio?
