Sorry. Verboten for GE Healthcare Reps to read or post on these boards. Stay away from working for GE! The corporate robot managers will expect you to work 24/7 and the first day you slip, they're writing you up for a PIP. Get an honest job, like working behind the counter at a porn shop.
wow punked that much.... most people in the industry make enough money to own a desk top at home. use your own computer you ever heard of free speech. dontal't be stupid enough to get on cafepharma on your work lap top. hope that helps PIP perform and you won't get on one.
I'm on my HOME personal laptop, pal. And I don't work for GE Healthcare anymore. I have a life ... and own my own company ... and a new $8 million contract that could turn into a $150 million nationwide contract. Took several years out of the GE rat race, but it's worth it. The two years of hell that I dealt with for GE (after they bought the company I worked for the previous 20+ years) is two years I'm glad are long since gone.
Modus Operandi for GE when they buy out a company is to move out as many of the old (pre-GE days) people they can and bring in as many GE-robot-a-trons as they can. I heard that long before we were bought out by GE ... Often, they can do it in about a year. Took a little longer at Amersham, primarily because the Amersham CEO was named to the GE board. But they did it. When I left GE, one of my customers told me that I had the record ... longest tenure of any sales rep from a company that was bought by GE. And I beat it by at least a year.
I've been with Amersham for some time and the one thing I can say for GE is that it is a plague, a one true parasite that suck the blood right out of a good company and soon to kick it to the curb.
Hey Ex Amersham, Ex here also, Pre Nycomed. One year out of GE. Are you doing any hiring for that big contract you have with your new company?
